About InTheIndie

Welcome to intheindie, a games site with a soft spot for the small stuff. Thousands of games ship every week, and some of the best are made by tiny teams you haven't heard of yet. We filter the firehose, point you to the indie and small-studio games worth your time and money, and root for the people making them.

Our Mission

The best game for your next free evening usually isn't the one with the biggest marketing budget. So we do the digging (honest, well-researched, and on time) to help you spend your next few hours and few dollars well. No score obsession and no hype machine: just a clear, friendly read on whether a game is for you, and a genuine cheer for the developers behind it.

What We Cover

  • News: What's new in the indie world, plus the big-industry moves that actually touch small studios and your wallet.
  • Reviews: Honest, score-free verdicts on what's worth playing, from solo-dev debuts to the games everyone's talking about.
  • Guides: Tips, builds, and walkthroughs to get the most out of the games you're already playing.
  • Hardware: Handhelds, controllers, and gear, judged by what they actually do for players.
  • Mobile: The phone and tablet games worth your thumb time.
  • Opinion: Arguments and columns where the point is the position.

Affiliate links

Some articles link to products at retailers we have an affiliate arrangement with. When you buy products through links on intheindie, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Those links are marked where they appear, so you always know which is which.

It does not change what we recommend. We decide what is worth your money first and add the links afterwards, and a product does not get a kinder write-up for being purchasable through one. When we think something is not worth buying, we say so and link to it anyway.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
